The ChronoScope
The ChronoScope is a kiosk installation for
which 3D Image Studio designed and programmed the interactive 3D
component. The installation was on view from December 9, 2004 through
March 26, 2005 at the AXA Gallery in Times Sqaure as part of the
exhibition entitled At
The Crossroads of Desire: A Times Square Centennial, curated
by Max Page.
In 2005 the ChronoScope received an Honorable Mention Award from
I.D. Magazine's Annual Design Review in the Interactive Category:
"A great example of collaboration
between architecture and design" - Allen Sayegh, I.D.

The project was lead by Jake Barton, the principal
of Local
Project, NYC's award winning design studio. 3D Image Studio
was asked to design the interactive 3D component in which a viewer
can explore historical pictures of Times Square positioned against
the contemporary virtual model of Times Square.
