The ChronoScope

The ChronoScope is a kiosk installation for which 3D Image Studio designed and programmed the interactive 3D component. The installation was on view from December 9, 2004 through March 26, 2005 at the AXA Gallery in Times Sqaure as part of the exhibition entitled At The Crossroads of Desire: A Times Square Centennial, curated by Max Page.

In 2005 the ChronoScope received an Honorable Mention Award from I.D. Magazine's Annual Design Review in the Interactive Category:

"A great example of collaboration between architecture and design"  - Allen Sayegh, I.D. Magazine

The project was lead by Jake Barton, the principal of Local Project, NYC's award winning design studio. 3D Image Studio was asked to design the interactive 3D component in which a viewer can explore historical pictures of Times Square positioned against the contemporary virtual model of Times Square.
